Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

DXC Technology is considering to spin off its public sector business. One analyst said it may take "at least six months before we see action on

Saw this in another post as a reply - need a thread on its own

  1. Legacy CSC spun this business before the merger with HPE ES

  2. Legacy HPE ES had government business (not sure if they made any money at all !! )

It would be good if some some smart assess inside DXC realise and start working on this !

These contracts aren't making a gain. Definitely a USPS leader who is selling a narrative.

To @NDPBSka-1rwj,

You must be part of usps leadership team feeling positive on the outlook of performance.

For "someone" like myself who have been on the "other side of the fence" (so to speak) as a customer using other service provider (non DXC) for managed services, I was embarrassed to be part of the DXC usps delivery services (after joining) to have witnessed the performance of "B" team leadership. The lack of ownership, outdated management skills and lastly the blame games being pushed into the worker bees. How many customers DXC failed to meet agreed SLA and having to pay penalties? No checks and balances until customers got fed up. Leadership resorted to WFR to cover up bad leadership performance.

You can fool customers some of the time but not all the time...

The DMV suit has been settled. EDS/HP/HPE/DXC has also had the Rhode Island Medicaid contract since 1993. The state is very pleased with that contract and it is bringing DXC significant margins. Many State and local government contracts are profitable.

Yes, the USPS sector is a mess! Google HPE lawsuits on Rhode Island DMV.

Another one with State of Michigan.

Lack of leadership resulted in tax payer $$ and WFRs

The article above, claims that a quarter of DXC's earnings come from public sector (half of that from US public sector). I suspect they will keep it, but I read somewhere that from a financial perspective they are breaking out the figures (making it more attractive to purchase).

I suppose it depends on whether US gov is spending more money, the reason (lack of) that made CSC push away their US public sector business.
