The real and tangible opportunities for automation are in the accounts and there is no leadership or funds for writing even VBA code to automate this or that task.

They are too busy giving ML a sales pitch. If they can't vba a spreadsheet, I doubt they will automate anything but maybe WFRs.
Nothing will change all the while they're squabbling over small costs either...
