Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Project Athena back on again?

So according to the rumours, Project Athena is back on again, but this time only for US employees.

For those not in the know, Athena was the planned transfer of all former ITIO (HPE Internal IT) employees to AT&T, where they would continue to service HPE and HPI. However, this transfer was quickly taken off the table after the CSC takeover.

I've also heard further rumours that all former ITIO folks outside the US aren't going to be transferred due to the costs and difficulties of dealing with workers' councils, with the implication that these employees are to be laid off through successive WFR programmes.

Does anyone here have further details of anything more concrete about the fate of former ITIO people?

We have been told (HPE GNE One Build Global WW) that discussions are in the final stage to move us to AT&T, no idea what that evolves or what will change though.

Not all of internal IT, the networks side will TUPE into AT&T.

So would this mean that HPE having outsourced its IT function to DXC, will now find DXC outsourcing parts or all of the internal IT function to AT&T?

This is old news for CSC staff, most of the networking stuff is provided by AT&T, CSC moved the networks GDN over a few years ago.

CSC strategy is to use vendors and consultants to avoid the employee overhead expense. ITIO including HHS?
