Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Any there any good leaders left?

Back in the day there was Fister, Gelsinger, Burns, Mooly and even Dadi who seemed to be good leaders. All gone.

Is there anybody left that garners respect? I can't think of any.

Grove was the last leader. Now Intel has many managers who know how to milk the cow, but no idea what do to when the cow gets old. BK is just shotgunning it with whatever other companies are doing, lots of press announcements, initiatives and investment spending, but no vision. The BOD has been old and stale for 20 years.

Murthy hasn't proved he was worth 1% of the rediculous signing bonus and salary he is living off of.

@1wxs. If fatso were so good then why Q rejected him ? Don't tell me that he suddenly turned brilliant after arriving at Intel.

Murthy seems to be a good leader. He has the charisma to unite intel. He knows what it takes to get work done and by whom. Great leaders help others overcome their obstacles and removes barriers he is one.

One thing i did not like is, he was fearful of mr. Bohr. Mr Bohr though might be capable completely lacks the charcteristics of a good leader, he might be giving the impression that he has high integrity. Why fear his ego ? Let your egos down act with a purpose and do not fear. I like rob too.

None. Last good leader was Grove. Shows you how long Intel has been thirsting for a great business leader.

None left. All the good ones saw the writing on the wall and left or were pushed out. You are well advised to consider your outside options as well. The company will only accelerate its downward spiral under the new de-facto CEO Murthy.

In not sure they were better. Leading is easy when you a monopoly in growing market. Competing is hard. Grove was leader. After that lots of living off the spoils.
