For all the so called avaya loyalists out there, all your loyalty could end in 10 min conversation .They layoff top technical guys and retain employees with yes attitude who are close to their bosses. This is what they have been doing to derive revenue all these years with biased nps scores and false projections.. The executives are only concerned about looting whatever is left before they are fired themselves. Pity you guys... Stay clear from this company. Its neither a software nor hardware nor cloud based company anymore. One needs only one skill to be here which is politics. Disgusting!!!!!

Agree with the person below me 100% Enjoy the ride and do as little as possible and get over. No reputable management person would want a leadership position here. Maybe Carly Fiorina. Not to sound s-xist but lots of women managers here at Avaya. We are flooded with them. How's that working out.
The remaining business units / assets will be sold to the highest bidders. and by the end of 2017 Avaya will cease to exist. Creditors don't want equity in a dying company burdened by debt. In order to make this pig successful again, they would have to bring in a new management team (who in their right minds would keep the losers who were responsible for the current situation). Question: What really good leadership team would actually want to run what's left of Avaya? Answer: NO ONE who is any good. So they end up with more like KK, JC, and the rest of the incompetents they have now, which will only lead to declining revenue, more excuses, and eventual failure. The creditors don't want any part of it. If they did, a restructuring plan would have already been accepted. My advice is to keep collecting a paycheck and either find another job, start a company, or travel on the company until it shuts down. You still have several months to enjoy it.
Previous post is right. No one is doing anything but the bare minimum to get by. Basically a part time job. And yet, we keep getting "required" Avaya Way training notices. WTF?

Blackberry is suing to get royalty payments. The suit was filed in Texas which has a reputation for being very pro patent troll in these suits. They will win the suit, but probably won't result in a lump sum payout of $1.5B. Instead, it will force Avaya to pay back-royalties for infringing and of course royalties will be required for every sale going forward. This will further reduce the company's profitability which in turn will mean that Avaya won't be able to continue. The creditors know this and will force it into Chapter 7. Blackberry has won multiple lawsuits of this type and there is no doubt that they will win this as well. Avaya's claim that it will hurt their restructuring efforts is irrelevant. If they infringed, they must pay - and pay they will. Why do you think the leaders just recently filed claims?
Game over. Or course this will end in Avaya's liquidation. There is no way the creditors will accept the restructuring plan in the face of a $1.5B suit by Blackberry - which they will win. Taking another $1.5B out of the business will leave virtually no possibility that it can continue and the creditors are lining up to get their fare share.
Nothing to confirm this, but I wouldn't be surprised that it goes to Ch. 7 if Blackberry gets their way.
They know they won't get a payout, but if Avaya ends up being blocked from selling any product that contains their patent, that becomes a big fiscal liability.
