What if IT blocked this site at Conoco. What would I do. Checking this site consists of 90% of my workday.

go on COPguest from your mobile or ipad or personal laptop....there is no proxy and no way to track anything that goes on there. You could cruise porn if you wanted.
We know who's on the site...but after tomorrow we may not care.
At some point, when you know they're going to screw you over anyway, you don't care anymore. That's why you surf this site with the company computer. How can you possibly concentrate on anything productive when the only constant is layoffs every other week.
