Management needs people skills training

It takes a special kind of person to stare at a computer all day long tracking productivity of people who are actually working and then belittle and criticize the whole team first thing every single day. Geez, I wonder why nobody cares anymore. Management needs people skills training

I agree. I have a manager who started as an intern and was moved up thru the ranks. He comes in late or works from home almost daily. He has no sense of what it's like to do actual work. He "statuses" with me occasionally but gives no substantial or helpful feedback and then, Come review time, tells me I'm a worthless POS. I really can't imagine the company surviving if THATS the type of person they see as management material. I will cherish the day I get the email that he has left effective immediately. I'm sure finding a new job will be easy for him using the accomplishments of his talented and under appreciated team.

Mid management here: I'm just trying to see a light at the end of the tunnel bud. What we're going through here and now is f-ing hell on earth. Both the boss I loved and the super highly recruited new one they replaced her with literally disappeared while I was on lunch months apart. Our workload spills until late each night and includes urgent overnight conference calls while one leader or another is overseas trying to grab the next big thing that's going to drive sales. The pressure is insane. Everyone I know and trust is actively looking. This goes way beyond communication skills.
