I have no idea why the CEO has been in power for such a long time, worse CEO ever! He has completely destroyed the company it's either heading for Chapter 11 or it's going to lowest bidder, if it's lowest bidder the CEO and his board will at least line their pockets.

Don't sit around waiting for Stern to get sacked, he won't. Is he a terrible CEO? Yes, absolutely, but he is accountable to no one but the private equity board. People like Stern, Tilly, Dzerovich, and Lynch's primary job at the moment is to keep expenses low and hold off the bleeding of customers until a suitor can be found for the company as a whole or key parts (software, Data Center, consulting, etc). Each of the C-suites and Sr VPs most likely have golden parachutes, otherwise they would have left or not joined in the past 2 years.
The massive layoffs in the US and moving the majority of work to low wage / low quality India and Costa Rica have shown most customers and rank and file employees know the company has failed. If you're still working at AS you better be looking for a new job. Don't wait around for a "package", it will only keep you afloat for a few weeks at best depending on your tenure.
