Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Wanna know the companies with the worst cultures?

Just look at the home page of this site for the most active company threads. Those are the ones you don't want to work for or own stock in. They are the companies which are spiraling downward. Make a mental note. Watch for future mergers and splits.

Over time Intel will become just a brand as Motorola, Compaq, and other companies of the past.. Intel does not have the GE or IBM corporate DANA to survive over 75 years as those companies have.. The institutional holders like Fidelity and Vanguard really own Intel...

True what will intel work force look like in 5 or 10 years. In 10 years at least 30% smaller maybe in 5. Much more International, and geo and ppl diverse. CHINA, india, Indonesia growing at 3 to 4 x of US. It will change Intel.

Intel is in decline. As most America. Corporations. It's very hard to change identities but intel has had the hardes than any company I know. There will be some mergers down the road in the not so distant future or the brand itself may not survive.

True. Lots of layoffs and lots of people who feel insecure = bad culture.

All of my former colleagues at Intel have no certainty of their continued employment. No matter how long they've been there. No matter what they've accomplished.
