It's to the point in the DC that I'm afraid to
Go to the bathroom for 5 minutes because my OM will harass me about it later in the day asking me why I have a 5 minute gap with no transactions. This is getting out of control ridiculous.

Shut up and get back to work. If y'all weren't such whiny pansies, came back from break on time, really worked to the bells, and could just follow some simple processes, your OM would leave you alone.
And on behalf of the "people that stare at the computers", believe me we do not have it any better. You are not allowed to ask question or challenge an Exec. If you want to survive just keep your mouth shut and do your job. Not allowed to think critically or "outside" the box as they say. They are looking for robots.
Wow, every dc must operate the exact same way! Now the Sr OM hovers out on the floor over the OM's laptop encouraging (driving) her to question our every inconsistency. Been through 4 OM's in the past 2 years in my dept. Too much stress, I guess.
The worst part it's not just operational departments. OMs that have been there for year's, who have no idea what the job entails, feel the need to let you know they could fire you and talk to you like a child.
What would improve the environment in distribution? With many changes on the horizon what do you think will happen to distribution team members during "transformation".
Let's hear honest opinions and facts if you have any.
This is what we get for putting millennials in front line management. Many, not all, got their college paid for and never worked a real job. They got their degree and Target labels them a "leader", and tell them what they need from them. So it goes to their head and they have no idea what doing the real work really means and they continue to do what their management tells them and look for the next promotion, never realizing that a really good leader earns the respect of the workers they supervise.
Their philosophy is the more they get after us the more productivity they'll get. That couldn't be any further from reality though.
It's doing just the opposite.
It takes a special kind of person to stare at a computer all day long tracking productivity of people who are actually working and then belittle and criticize the whole team first thing every single day. Geez, I wonder why nobody cares anymore. Management needs people skills training
