Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

All just doing their jobs

BK is heads down doing what he knows the best as a fab manager - cutting cost and increasing efficiency, "our strategy is working!!!"; CFO is putting out yet another "beat estimate by one cent" earning and buying back more shares, "next quarter will be even better!!!"; MR is busy preparing to take the throne and getting rid of DB with the slowing DCG sales, "hey, I'm one of the two CEOs!!!".

Comparing to their stellar performance, are you doing your part if you are reading thelayoff.com now?

OP, I don't think BK is cutting cost. He may be cutting cost on PEG and CCG, but other groups that are his favored groups like DO's MIT, DB's DCG is spending like crazy with not bat an eyelid with all the crazy ridiculous spending. Just take a look at MIT's travel budget, it will truly shock you!

Intel is boring, nobody cares much about next generation kaby or coffee.

Thank god IDF is gone sparing us the BS that and obligatory reviews of nothing.

Look at the empty chest beating of Manufacturing Day at the sorry marketing all built on last glory. If intel products and manufacturing is so good like it once was they would release products and impress the world, but that stopped about a decade ago, dang right around when the iPhone showed up.

Too bad intel missed the last obvious big thing and now is chasing every fad with billions but they have no clue and are just throwing your layoff money at future "failoffs"

Funny that yesterday when watching a business channel for earnings, Intel was a 10 second blip on the screen. Even Starbucks hot more air time with respect to earnings then Intel. Wasn't like that 10 to 20 years ago but you are dreaming or drinking kool-aid if you think these clowns (BK& BoD) will turn this company around.

I feel like I'm reading a propaganda article on circuit. Get back to me OP when Intel lowers the number VP's, middle-management, when upper management flies coach, receives raises between 2-4% like the worker bee's, and has a vision as to what the company sees as the next breakthrough that is a must have for people. Until then, talk is cheap and Intel will remain a dinosaur in the tech industry producing products that no want or nerds.
