Asking if there are any more layoffs coming at Aetna, is like asking if it will rain. Layoffs are part of how Aetna runs business. Best thing to do, is find another job. Aetna will lay you off.

They are also laying off management. There are plans to eliminate management staff who do not meet the job requirements. Many have already been told to go or have left on their own.

They just laid off a whole bunch of people today, they were told their jobs were eliminated and gave them until 4-28-2017. The rest that are left, will pay a hefty price because they will be given more work to do, on top of the big work load that they have already, with no overtime. On top of this all, they expect good results, and expect you to walk on water. I'm disgusted, that's all I can say, the place is a sinking ship, and the people who always suffer are the employees who always work hard and give it all they got. They should start laying off upper management, there's too many of them, that don't know what they are doing.

Looks like Aetna is being looked at for yet another compliance issue in the western states. When will they learn?

You are right management feeds what they want senior management to hear but numbers and fines never lie to the bigger issues, the bottom line. Good luck to anyone thinking of working here

Middle and upper management filter and control / shape what senior management sees. If Mark B. really wants to figure out what is going on, he should institute a basic skills test for each position in the company, that would flush out the fakes. The new approach should be:

"Don't tell me how you do it? Show me how you do it? Example, if you lead a coding team, you better be able to write code.

This method would clear out the fakes! The problem with Aetna is, people can hide and play politics to survive and get promoted. Problem is, when real professionals join the company, they see what's going on and leave quickly.

Yes. Anounced some of The upper management changes in high point nc office today. Disturbing the very manager that is failing at running an effective department is getting promoted? We were all hoping for new management. The way this dept is being run is due to ineffective management a Grossly mismanaged unit. Wake up mark b.national accounts is too top heavy with team leads and supervisors. 15 nurses have left in last 6 momths . Aetna needs more Indians not Chiefs unless you enjoy paying all those fines for late cases and state mandates. Aww may cut into your bonus maybe that will get your attention and all the money you are going to have to fork out for refilling all these um/cm positions and training. Clueless company. White collar slavery. Glad I am out of here best decision I ever made!
