St. Loujs Cord Blood Bank processing operations are being discontinued at end of year. There's the first layoffs!
No job is safe indeed
All nurses everywhere are in danger of being laid off. The medical bubble is bursting. Enormous amounts of debt were used to open a ridiculous number of labs, institutions, medical centers, etc the past 6 years and now it has to be repaid.
Did you wonder where and why all these medical jobs were coming from?
Now you know, and it's time to pay the piper. Don't matter if you work at a rag tag medical clinic or the Mayo clinic. No jobs are safe.
