They don't even know what that means. It's just a slogan the management has been feeding them. So glad COP will no longer insist in its form.

This is an employers market folks. Anyone who thinks that there will be a retention bonus is nuts.
COP workforce is best is class, Cenovus will be laying off their current staff to make room for everyone.
One day everyone is worried about if they have a job or not , who buying us , what's being sold , everyone is complaining about how much upper senior leadership make for salary and stocks and all of a sudden it's announced Cenovus and in less than 24hours I've heard numerous people ask I wonder if were getting a retention bonus and how much do you think we'll get . Holy crap let's give our heads a shake and be happy we may still have a job we're likely overpaid to do .
Your retention is you get to have a job for a bit longer.
