I'm curious will we have the heart to see it through? Previous examples: Xscale - ARM - Sold off. Intel Play division - 1st web tablet years before Apple. MP3 player, microscope, and .... You can still by that microscope today from Tasco. Intel Media division - We were going to offer customized programming offering. Billons spent and sold off to lowest bidder. Intel Atom Cell / Tablet efforts - Almost broke through only to be killed off right when we were on the cusp. Asus Zen Fone 2 is/was awesome! Intel McAfee - We were going to revolutionize the world. How much of our original investment did we see out of this purchase after setting off part of it? Intel Basis Peak - Failed attempt at wearables. Watches were GREAT and the next gen looked even better. Millions spent on recall due to thermal issues. Intel AI group - Will we have the heart to see it through or waste billions only to sell it off at a loss. (Jury is now out!) I hope we are serious about this venture and can make a win with true ROI.
