Out? Do you mean not affected? BOEF is the Acro for Building our Energy Future which was a flattening of the organization and resulted in many many layoffs at Enbridge.
No if anything I'm guessing that Spectra may be hit a little worse if the powers that be decide to flatten the former Spectra organization at the same time we lose people due to the merger.
So all of spectra is out?
1k is doable across the organization for sure - I also heard Spectra will be BOEF'D so I suspect that many will be there.
You're not doing corporate b---s--- math. Doesn't mean $250 million in year one. Also, employees effectively cost the company double their salaries.
I doubt it will be 1K ppl, between the ppl at the Spectra Bldg and Enbridge in Houston that would be 1/2 so unless they are counting Canada 1K is not a real number
Sure it is feasible ... AM states 250 million save by employee salaries ... even if you only target those making 100k a year, that is still 2500 severed employees.

It's going to begin on Wednesday, and I keep hearing this "1000 plus" floating around from a certain group, but it's just not feasible. There's not 1000 bodies left to cut, sorry. Maybe if you count all of the layoffs combined, but there's no way we lose 1000 people this week.
