What do people think of the 60 Minutes story that aired tonight about H1-B visas?

Nothing is going to happen to H1b. I am 100% sure that I will be enjoying the life like I have been doing now. Trump doesnt have power to touch H1b. He cannot even implement his ban orders. Changing H1b is too much work for him.

Yawn.......
Almost everyone I hired was H1b PhD making six figures.
We tried hard to find American citizen, if you were White, Black, Hispanic, or American Indian all you had to do was not fail the drug test to get an offer, management is so desperate to meet BK numbers there was no standards beyond ethnic required for URM
Before recent times, I went out of my way to find things still manufactured in middle america. things such as bolts, socket sets, tools, car parts, anything....
And then the populists came....Now i go out of my way to find out when something says made in usa, whether it comes from a populist state. If so, I save my hard earned money and buy the cheaper made in china, made in mexico, made in korea, or made in japan thing. I'd rather send my money elsewhere than give it to a populist to keep them employed.
Like recently. Just spent $29k on a brand new Mazda for my graduating kid... Originally I was going to get a comparable Ford made in Lansing... I opted to get the Mazda that has 98% parts content and made in japan. A runner up would have been the BMW 2 series that also have virtually no parts and labor from the US...But something told me that giving a graduating kid a BMW would be a bad idea, not to mention it was a few thousand more...
You are on your own populists. And no, I no longer care about you.
After watching 60 mins, I was shocked. The loop hole hb1 can be used if wage is 60,000 years or better. Find that hurts American workers. Two things need to happen Trump must act, fill the loop hole. We have a major push going on at universities STEM, this is going to produce a large number of US people that can work it at Intel and other companies. Will the high tech company hire US grads STEM the hb1's. There is going to be more STEM candidates then jobs, so the hb1 holes needs to be closed. Trump must act, make America Great Again.
It confirms what I always thought looking at the quality of workers on h1b I was working with. It is just a legal path for cheap labour.
