I have heard several people say they are not worried because the new company will "need" this or the new company will "need" that. Hilarious I tell you your right a company that has an extra 3 billion laying around to buy a company that isn't even functioning and will need even more funds to get it going right Totally needs you! I mean honestly not sure how anyone like WPX , BP , XTO could have event gotten where they are without you on their team. You are just a body they are going to hack up the majority of you immediately and would piss you ALL away except that the field has to continue operating during the transition but dont you worry they will slowly phase you people out as well. Keep your head in the sand because pretending you are even a fraction necessary regardless of position is going to find you a job elsewhere. So wave goodbye glass palace people on 30th wave goodbye H64 highschool drama queens (yes I mean the men also) only people worth a crap to the buyer if physical labor period don't fool yourselves. 👢👢👢

@MnfnA73-4bet - Quite the opposite. No high horse here. I never thought that I was any more valuable than anyone. Still don't. I just don't see any reason to negative, hateful and otherwise nasty. Everyone is in the same boat. Oh wait, I take that back. I'm not in the same boat. I checked the box and was laid off a year ago. (I survived and so will everyone else.) But even with that, I still see no reason to criticize people still there who are only hoping for the best. They are still a part of who I am and always will be.
@MnfnA73-3kbm I am going to guess by that high horse you rode in on that you are one of the ones thinking you are irrelevant I meant irreplaceable? Probably rationalizing it from every angle why you are more qualified and that the new company will NEED you. Oh please you are property just like the desk you hide behind. I'm amazed at how many self-proclaimed divestiture experts are on this thread. "MEAN" is the operative for I MEAN REALLY SAN JUAN.... I don't expect a company to care about individuals but is it necessary to be cruel to folks who are only hoping for the best? Folks just like you MEAN folks.... Families, mortgages, health care.... We're all in the same boat. What do you gain from your need to clear up any delusions? Who made you the great revealer? Time reveals all. And my guess is that you MEAN folks are no more in-the-know than any of the rest of us. Maybe the company won't be considerate but that's no reason why we can't be considerate of each other.
