Tcomp, not base for the G9 pay being over 200k. Some unique job roles are getting really high salaries from what I hear, like AI/data scientists.
this claim that g9 base salary is 200k+ is pure bs
"Agree many PEs are just their bosses c0ck $uckers and the worst are the TAs for the VPs who wouldn't survive in any other company, and these people often become your next wave of GM and VPs. Intel's future is sealed with this sorry a$$ lot"
Couldn't agree more. It's not by accident that people in Intel behave the way that they do. People who are ambitious learn that the path to the top is via being a TA and/or pet of the bosses. That role gives them the ability to both put themselves in pole position for the next promotion but also to bad-mouth / back-stab anyone who they view as a rival.
And we wonder why Intel can't innovate, can't execute and can't recruit or retain talent...
PE here and got calls every year from other companies, left last year and rather like my new job and don't miss the poisonous management at this once great company.

So sad what management has turned this once great company.
@fmb Intel is giving PE titles to anyone who is around long enough, I have met PEs that would be put to shame by an RCG at Google.
That is why they stay at Intel because a lot of them would be an average Joe in the top companies.
Agreed. Outside is very difficult to survive in intel.
Getting hired into Intel from outside is a dangerous game. Chances are you'll be back-stabbed by Intel lifers.
A great engineer is no RCG with a few years under his belt and a few wins and a couple fast promos.
I've seen too many promising starts flame out over the years, if you ain't a PE at least don't tell me how great you are.
And even GR10 you find some plenty of idiots
G9 easily clears $200k in Oregon, not a big surprise here.
I know someone in Oregon who got hired for a kazillion dollars plus bonus . Hahahaha
LMAO! !!!!
200k isn't a good engineering talent. My better engineers were taking 250K and me another hindered more.
BS
Maybe. But the point is almost all the rest of you aren't one of them....
Nice fairy tale HR.....
