Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Got EE last year with 6.5% raise and Stock level 1. This year got EE but only 4.2% raise and stock level 2. WTF!!!!

EE last year and EE this year. While i got 6.5% raise and Stock level 1 last yr, this year it was only 4.2% raise and Stock level 2. Stock level is cut in half. WTF. Tried arguing with manager and got some BS.

What is the average for EE this year? Did anyone get beyond 4%?

@ntl - Congradulations for O and promotion. I want it too. But after years of hard engineering work and so many technical contribution, I still can't get it. How did you do it?

Got an O, SSL1, promo and 15% raise. Thanks Intel for purging most of the deadwood last year, and giving other deadwood lower raises this year so I can get my big fat paycheck.

Sounds right to me. 6.5% with and EE sounds high.

Two EE and overpaid grade 7, no wonder the paltry raise. Anytime you are at any grade for more than six or seven years forget it, even a couple E/O won't get you promoted.

Conversation will go like this for someone with double EE/O or combo.

"Should we promote him, he got two good years?"

"Nope he has been in the grade forever, he maxed out, just two luck years Back to back, he will never be competitive at the next level and why he is in current grade forever"

You are totally VSP/ISP candidate in a year or two as you have stalled out and overpaid and not going to advance.

Welcome to the new Intel. It s---s. You can always leave, but I doubt you will get any VSP pkgs with 2 EEs. If you are not happy with your job, better quit. It's only going to get worse going forward.
