Those evil managers and employees will go down one day. Never look at short term gains, always look at long term losses. It's a bitter taste to lose job. But if you truly believe it's not you but managers you are better off. It's a small industry and everyone knows everyone. You will get a chance to screw their lives.

I have seen many layoffs in the past 5 years. Every manager has favorites, inside persons who are well protected and will never get laid off. This has nothing to do with performance.

At the end of the day, snake is a snake. They bite colleagues and one they might bite management.

Character less, unethical, under skilled employees always have jobs and will never get laid off.

Since they lack technical aspect, they excel in survival skills.

no one is safe...don't believe the hype. Get your resume together/updated, brush up on interviewing skills and start posting on job boards. Especially if you're over the age of 40. Do not think that you are an exception just because you're an exceptional performer

EMC management is worst. You write your own review and your manager copy/paste in portal.

All we do is collect quarterly bonus, my manager has no clue what I am working on for years. Be nice to them and you belong in protected class, while other engineers are shown the door.

Not sure about Dell management but with

EMC I had to write my own yearly review and give it to them to modify. This went on for years what a joke. Bigfoot dont know nothing...ha

SOOOO TRUE!!! The managers are taking down DELL EMC.

Here's another truth: because of the greedy, incompetent, good-ole-boy-management-club at EMC, it is now called DELL.

It is accurate, they haven't had an innovative idea come out of EMC since 2000 as someone else stated in another post. In fact, I'm pretty sure some of those managers still use a rolodex because they can't quite get the hang of their Blackberry yet... those crazy smartphones can be pretty tricky you know.

Innovation? EMC hasn't developed a new product in-house since 2004!! They have purchased all technology since then. Every bit of it! Educate yourself before making clueless statements.

Speak to your managers, if you have concerns.......Wow

Managers have no clue about projects and their team skills. Do you know what time they come to work and what time they leave. It's the managers that are taking the company down the toilet during transition.

If you have concerns talk to your manager....haaaa lol.....what joke. A manager sighting at EMC/Dell is as rare as a bigfoot sighting. They are kind of like UFOs.

Too late for that.

Team A left already disappeared with attrition, VSP and layoffs (at managers mercy)

Team B is all DELL EMC is left with. Team B motivation is just get paycheck with little to no work and kiss management.

Dell is leading the industry in sales and innovation. If you have concerns, you should speak to your manager. Can assure you, from the highest levels the conversations and efforts are to identify the top performers from engineering, sales and support.

Hope customers read this and stop buying sub standard DELL EMC products.

Unethical company, I could never comprehend recent layoffs. Only those who kiss right a-- managers have jobs. Those who kiss a-- were obviously worst engineers

The last comment is so true....The USA is dead it is run by corprate America. GOD would never approve of what is going on. Michael Dell and Joe Tucci can choke on the money they made. They dont care about you or your family. They have taught this to mid level managers as well. The greedy in training. Bottom line f*** u and your families.

Being a team player means go away quietly. Core values? Screw your employees is the ONLY core value and "culture" alive and well at Dell EMC. They have a huge team of in-house legal counsel whose job is to make sure of that. And, everyone knows it starts at the top and that's where it stays because they keep laying off the bottom; I suppose they will turn to cannibalism when there is no bottom left and they have to turn on each other. No one is safe no matter what you "stick to" unless it's your lips sticking to the right @ss. Then, and only then, you might be safe and that's the only way to have any hope of job security and this is something anyone who has ever worked at Dell or EMC knows. It is the truth and if you don't believe it, then your lips are probably stuck to someone's @ss and your view is very limited. That post would be hilarious if people's lives and this country weren't being destroyed because of the greedy and their disgusting "anything goes for an extra $1 in my pocket" greed. They will NEVER have enough, ever, and making crappy products, selling crappy service, having a horrible reputation and zero respect in and out of the office is no problem because greedy people do not care, they will continue to destroy people's lives and wrap it all up in little buzzwords, pep ralleys and the same old tired rhetoric which is nothing more than the same old lies because everyone knows it is ONLY about that $$$$ in their pocket. It's criminal and those at the top are no better than a common street thug, they just drive better cars. They all belong in orange jumpsuits and a lot of managers and executives at EMC would be wearing them if stockholders really knew how bad they were hosing the company. True story.

It's all about the dollars and no considerations for the employees. Being a team player has no value in this situation. Wake up!

That's probably on of the most ridiculous statements I've ever read...Core values, team player, what a joke. HR is alive and well on this site. Dell's core values are 1) Making as much money for Mikey as possible, and 2) Eliminating as many workers as possible to make more money for Mikey. And Team Player? that is all about sharing your knowledge with some NCG so that they can replace you with him.
