Where do you guys find this stuff? I'm a ranking member of the SAP ITT team... I assure you, it is going forward as planned. One of the biggest problems we have is that we have a plethora of systems that don't communicate. The SAP implementation will give us much greater visibility on our data streams and will cut out a ton of work duplication as all systems will be able to share information.

It was already August go live two months ago. Probably will push more since it is already being delayed. Guessing late Q1 2018 at this rate.

It is hilarious to listen to people complain when they are also part of the problem. The whole wheel needs to be replaced.

A knife (SAP) in Doctors hand will lead to a surgery, a knife (SAP) in a fool will lead to a butchery. SLB has given the SAP implementation to FOOLs. God Bless Bless....... SLB and also SAP

many duplication within sap , but otherwise its a good system.

no idea how many people behind the screen is needed to keep it runs smooth ; every now and then

there is software maintenance.

Another example of "TRANSFORMATION" meltdown

I personally has seen SAP works extremely well for certain companies that have a clear definition of their business processes and practical goal using an IT system as tool rather than an ambition to use it run every aspect of their business. SLB will fail miserably in the SAP implementation due to its shear size and an overagressive goal from the CEO.

SAP is going strong and will be embedded into the fiber of our IT.

And don't believe media. They produce fake news. Im looking at you CNN

If indeed the SAP project is being cut, it's probably for the better. The CIO is a very good, stand-up guy. At least he has the courage to say the emperor is wearing no clothes in regard to this project and put it on the chopping block. The Transformation is the CEO's project, and SAP doesn't play into that at this point in time to the best of my knowledge. How many times have you heard a company say something like "We installed SAP and things couldn't be better, it does exactly what we expected." You don't. You only hear about problems of software integration and it never ends because SAP requires dedicated people to maintain and manage it forever. Getting rid of something like SAP would allow SLB to eliminate a lot of consultants that are paid only to get SAP working.

ITT is PK's personal pet project. Unless the CIO is high on weed, I don't think he has the ball to roll it back.
