After Cablevision froze the pension the plan was already in effect to sell that's why they went on a hiring frenzy. They knew it would lead up to this day so they wanted to overwhelm the shops with newbies. The folks that's been here over 5 years can see the drastic changes as for the new guys they haven't really seen much so this is normal to most of them as they see gradual change. The new guys out weigh the veterans in numbers in most shops so this was one of there strategies they put into place so NO UNION could get in or would be very hard. These guys are very strategic and there program is very well planed out years in advance. Hopefully the new guys listen and more importantly observe what's going on. Ask your self why would someone leave a company after 20 plus years? Why go from making 28-35 a hour to 20 if your lucky? A package is there way out not having to deal with the B S going on. They say seeing is believing but how much do U guys wana see? If management is so faithful and insist ats is a good company then have u asked yourself WHY ARE THEY TAKING PACKAGES? If there's so much work and they need so much techs then don't they need supervisors and managers? If you don't sign a card do what's best on the day it really counts.
