Apparently Eddie is going to spin off Sears Home Services. It will become its own publicly traded company.
Has anyone else heard this? Isn't that the only profitable piece of SHC left?

Hope it isn't the Home Services that gets complaints on their own Facebook page and has thousands of negative Yelp reviews. That Home Services? Who would buy that?
@exQMT the gentleman that was the QMT at my Sears store didn't know either. 18 years in, hardworking & good at it too. He is missed everyday as I am sure you are in your store too. S*cks.
I had an idea because I read here. I didn't work the day before the bad news or I would tried to drop hints. We talked in depth sometimes so ... I don't know ... sigh.
You will both be happier in the long run though. Sears is a negative environment overall.
RE: @Mb3Pfdb-lsm. I worked as an Auto Mechanic for 16 years and a QMT for the last 22 years and I did not know my job was eliminated until the morning I was let go. Do not be surprised when it does because you will be the last to know.
Getting way ahead of yourself. It's on the table, sure, but by no means is for sure going to happen (or for that matter, not even sure it would be allowed to happen)
There's a winner. No way I'd let anyone from Sears near my home much less let them service it.
News to me...and I work for SHS. What ever they do...upper management needs to be cleaned out. Start over with fresh eyes and ears. The current have the "Sears" way of thinking and it's driving employees right out the door. Just hire more they say...how about we fix what is making them leave in the first place?
