Thread regarding ConocoPhillips layoffs

Contractors in San Juan sale??

So the ConocoPhillips employees that want to stay are applying and hopefully interviewing for thier jobs, but has there been any mention as to what Hilcorp is planning for all us of the Chenault contract MSO's, RE mechanics, projects onsite supervisors etc? Those folks may be looking for some employment here in the next month or so....

Most contractors provided little if any value. The majority were hired because they were buddies with someone in a position that could hire them. Now the good old boys are out and probably not coming back!

Contractors will probably be hired if there are any open positions left from the displaced office people returning to the field.

Hilcorp won't need any contractors until they work the number of employees down to bare essential then they will use contractors to handle accelerated programs so they can fall back when completed.

I thought contractors could apply after all hiring was done if there were spots left?
