Is there any info as to who are the other bidders? We it be confidential till may 18 or will it be announced officially?

There must be other interested parties otherwise they would have announced Extreme as a winner by now.
Whether these parties will submit a qualified bid and show up at the auction is another questions.
If there aren't any preliminary bids from any company, is an auction still gonna happen? Or is there some preliminary bid?
