DXC Severance Package and DXC FY18 planned reductions

Will someone please post all of the details of the current DXC package? Seems to be max 8 weeks with time decreased if taken during notification period but full details will be helpful for many.

It is absolutely true that there are forced reductions planned for every quarter this year. They are asking for names now for the full year. They provide a list of employees to leaders with higher salaries or with higher level job codes and leaders have to justify why each person should not be let go. With no consideration for contractual requirements or SLA's. Fun times.

With the new leader to employee ratio going from 1:15 to 1:25 a lot of middle management should be cleaned out. So after years of giving the delightful; you have lost your job news to their employees time and time again these L5/6 leaders are now going to get cut.

Is the severance still deducted if you have a doctor's note for the mental suffering of worrying about losing your job year after year? Mental health LOA anyone? Asking for a friend.

Packages are defined by the country laws. Where there are no laws like the US, you get screwed.

Awful company, made redundant at the end of March, glad to be out to be honest. Didn't really blame any individual for my redundancy, but do blame the corporate greed and mismanagement by companies like HPE for it.

Best of luck to all those left, I'm sure you are only there because you need to be.

Not all L5s. I was one of a number shunted out last month in the UK. I never made anyone redundant in my life as I never directly "owned" people. Quite the opposite in fact as over the last 4 years I successfully appealed 5 WFRs on grounds of business risk. Not all L5s are arseholes and we have been treated no better than anyone else.

On the plus side I just checked my bank balance and my payoff (less a disgraceful tax deduction) is in. So that's me done with HPE. I hope DXC dont screw you all over in future.

The policy indicates up to 3 years service you would get 2 weeks severance, 3 to 5 years receive 4 weeks severance, 5 to 9 years receive 5 weeks severance, 9 to 15 years receive 6 weeks and 15 years or more maximum 8 weeks. The policy says the company can provide working notice as part of the severance benefit. A few employees have told me they got a one week notice and 7 weeks severance to get to the 8 maximum.
