For the networking business. In a recent filing, there is an exhibit called "Interested Parties" that is redacted "due to the confidential nature". No idea who they may be, but it's pretty clear that there will be an auction on May 23rd. With Extreme's intended purchase of the Brocade DC business, they will no doubt up their bid, if necessary, in order to keep Avaya. The combined company will position Extreme as #3 in the market and give them a much stronger position going forward. Without Avaya, it's not as compelling a story. I'm guessing that they already have the financing lined up in case other companies bid it higher.

I thought the date by which interested parties had to submit an intent was 18th of April - now we are past it does it mean we dont have any other bidders and extreme is the winner
Will we get to know who the interested parties are?other than extreme of course.
From the last time Networking was sold in a Stalking Horse auction many will register to look at Avayas books likely including Cisco but wont show up to bid. We will know closer to date who will show up. By memory there were about 17 registered and 3 showed up for Enterprise auction.
Could it be Cisco ?
They can throw around some spare change and buy Avaya Networking for 150-200millions to kill off another competitor and derail the plan of another.
Extreme is probably very nervous now with the big boys entering the game.
Yes it seems we have another group interested- but would also mean that who ever wins will have till end of june to close
