Before results announcement it is quiet period for Intel and they cannot announce massive layoffs. Check the stock market rules. Come the results, they can also announce layoffs. And they will just like last year.

Probably cutting costs in one way or another... supposedly Green Badges are being reduced, they are nickle and diming the free drinks and coffee and fruit programs lately.. the restrooms are not as clean or restocked as they used to be.. there are weeds and landscaping issues in some of the parking lots too.. Need to save to fund Mobileye, and various other executive perks, more VPs, etc....
Maybe Doug Davis will retire again effectively at end of 2017??
