I rarely see the benefit of sitting in my tiny non-private and noisy cubicle either.
Wow, is Santa Clara on Overtime or is it fear of Murthy? My Oregon JF boss (when he isn't spanning the globe in United global services biz class) rolls in about 10 claiming early or late phone meetings made it hard for him to come in on time. Then goes to lunch about 11:15 claiming it is more efficient because the café fills up with hungry OWG with beer belly popping out of their shirts. He then works 1 to about 3:30 when usually their is some kind of challenge like picking up kids cause his wife has yoga or he needs to WFH so he can concentrate on finishing focal or some VP needs .PPT done. He has a point, nobody can really work in the intel environment. Too much noise and FOBS (fear of back stabbers).
Amazing how late people come in and leave if you aren't TMG. But again TMG are the slaves and falling behind, row you slaves row as TSMC and Samsung is passing you by!
