So how many grade 6s out there are doing grade 8 work but without the pay bump and title change? Or grade 8s doing better work than grade 10 PEs? The familiar story line they are told is that there is a small finite promotional budget that limits managements ability to address the problem. Interesting how that does NOT apply to these three.

Billions also invested in two designs Canon and Ice. One likely canceled as it will arrive too late and not be competitive, the others fate could be similar on the cost side.
TMG is one huge black hole of spending for R&D and factories and these days intel would be better to adopt the AMD, IBM model and jettison the fabs. The fans no longer are cost efficient nor offer any competitive andvatage as you are correct no body cares about what node their product comes from, especially their PC.
To maintain margins with the failures of TMG will require some new ACTs 😉

Who cares if Intel has a 10nm process? Nobody else has a 10nm process either. I mean, a real 10nm process and not just a bunch of marketing b---s--- like what TSMC is doing.
