Thread regarding Honeywell International Inc. layoffs

Honeywell retain the best and get rid of the rest employee retention policy.

Talk about a policy that is working just the opposite as intended. Honeywells goal of eliminating (firing) the bottom 10% of employees is not working too good....first Honeywell only does this with their highly trained US work force.....you can be incompetant and work outside the US because their managers ignore....or are forced to ignore by law that strategy. And as far as the best US employees...they are the ones leaving HW in droves....no one in the US trusts the new CEO D squared. He obviously believes that his fortune will be made on our backs. As the economy continues to get better more and more will leave until you are only left with 10%......such a great way to show how much you care about your employees.....wow just had a friend and former HW employee hired at UT....in his first week they talked about his career path and how they would help him with a plan to achieve it....at HW....tough luck....I have not had a meaningful conversation with a nanager on a career path in over 10 years....guess that means my path is "out the door".......sounds better than staying in this negative environment.

The opposite is happening. The good employees are employable and are not tolerating this clown show management style. They are leaving. The crap employees have no intention of leaving so, good call Davey boy and dairyass! Drive the good ones out and keep the sh*tty ones. Brilliant.

CRU. Yes I did. What an outstanding CEO. Does everything he can to help his team be successful. His people were proud to be part of that team. I agree with complete opposite.

Just like the Global resources are not held accountable for meeting their milestones, but you are. I.e., you are held responsible for their irresponsibility. And you are given accountability w/out authority. i call BS on that. Outsource the Executive leadership positions to Off-shore Sites, and maybe then I'll start buying into this off-shoring crap!!!

You are so right. Anyone see the "60 Minutes" segment on the Chobani founder and CEO? Very employee friendly. Complete opposite of Honeywell.
