Heard that to make up for last year's debacle, this year, no employee got SL4 or SL5 for 2017 focal?
So is SL3 the new low ranking???

I got SSL4, was SSL3 last year. But SSL2 all 10 years before that. It means they are trying to get rid of older workers. Those sneaky bastards!
Grade 3 and 5 folks can only get SSL 3 and 5

I suspect OP is a RCG or something similar. All his/her friends are also 😐 😐 😐 similar lower grade which is how they all got a SSL3. It is easier to get a good focal (SSL) in lower grades and you get promoted easily as well. Grade 4 to 5 to 6 to 7 every other year. Then people stay stuck there for long time.

I got SL5 and expect to be gone later this month. Of course I was already retiring at the end of the month.
Every GM makes his distribution of IR, L4 and L5
