I agree with this. I had the same Manager for 8 years and then was moved to a new team and RIF's within a year.

Same manager for years, switched in August to new manager. Then we were all told we were gone in Oct.

Ummm why? Not fully understanding why that matters. Unless they are intentionally moving individuals to locations who may be closing.
