Intel cut nearly everyone who knew how to actually sell technology. Now all that's left is powerpoint experts who pair up with external (non-Intel) MNC sales teams. Rep Companies nationwide are chomping at the bit to land lines that compete with Intel. SMG is a case study in its own right.
IBM cut their sales group big time so why not Intel?
SMG is more important now than ever with our products way behind market (modems) and competition ramping up (AMD). Products can't sell themselves like before and our Sales force is critical now. Ofcourse Intel board cant be expected to make any sensible decision these days.
MIT's fine. Party goes on with frequent travelling for every smallest excuse :-)
