anyone reading this blog is an Avaya partner, but doesn't it seem strange that NO ONE can answer this question for me: Where will I be buying my networking products from going forward?
Seriously, as a partner, will I be buying Avaya technology from Extreme? or from Avaya as a reseller of Extreme? If Avaya is a reseller, will I be paying a higher price than if I go direct to Extreme? If so, why would I buy from Avaya? Will I have access to the entire Extreme portfolio or only the Avaya portfolio? What about branding - will it be Avaya or Extreme? After the networking business moves over, will there be anyone at Avaya who knows anything about networking? Where will I get my support? What about WLAN? Will I be buying the Avaya products from Avaya or from Extreme or the OEM? What about support? Will Extreme keep developing the Avaya products or will they try to migrate me to Zebra? So many unanswered questions and NO ONE can give me any answers. I can only say that I'm happy that MY leadership is working on a "PlanB" with alternative products in case this doesn't end well...
