Thread regarding Sears layoffs

APM Layoffs Risk level 3

I was a Risk Level 3 store, I was just laid off. From what I was communicated this is company wide any RL3 and RL2 will be canned, none of the stores will have APs. File for that Unemployment Ladies and Gents. Had fun working for the company, great memories in LP/AP. No hard feelings, keep your head up and keep on moving on!

The APM positions in both Green Bay and Appleton (Wisconsin) eliminated on March 3rd. Surprisingly, when the "messenger boy" arrives and announces the elimination of the (APM) position -- it's only an announcement and you're shown the door. No paperwork provided to the APM about an elimination if their job title at all, just the verbal "your position has been eliminated." The Sears messenger boys -- you gotta love 'em. (Not).

So levels 5 & 4 are now 3& 2s?

We're the cuts concentrated in certain regions or in mostly KMart or mostly Sears?

Not all level 3's were cut today.....was told all the cuts are over now, well, until the next round anyway.

Everyone who is getting laid off now should feel lucky in some sense. Sears will file for Bankruptcy and think of all the people who will not get Severance payout, although I hate knowing I was let go due to the RL changes, but its slightly bitter sweet.

The retail collapse has been a slow moving train, but that train just put it into hyperdrive.

Remember 2008?

Multiply that by 10,000.

That's what you're about to see. There'll be no "Moving on."
