Thread regarding Aetna Inc. layoffs

Humana blames aetna for no merger. Forces more work on employees and lays off 100s

Humana is blaming aetna for not getting the merger through. An email went out saying humana was misguided and need to get back on track with holistic approach. Some phc have been doing holistic because we were hired to help members...not boost sales. Messed up company that will ruin any family goals you have. I heard more layoffa in april once first group is gone. Coaches will say they have no idea but they do...they are giving a survey and that determines if you stay or go. The new metrics are 11+ successful, 7 successful ivr, 24+ calls in a say, 3.2 talk time, and so many referrals. I did all of that but the numbers..a friend worked at humana 23 years and was fired with No severence for a 99.5 score. Messed up company!!!!

Humana got lucky, they would have been plundered and pillaged by Aetna

Aetna dodged a bullet, humana WAS a sinking ship..... now it's sinking and on fire

Aetna made a mistake when it threatened to leave the exchanges. So yes, Humana was mislead by Aetna. Stomping your feet and making threats to governing powers is no way to negotiate a deal. Based on the upcoming meeting with President Trump, I would not be surprised if Aetna is an M&A target by one of its neighbors.
