I am in CC dev team and recently I resigned as I got a decent offer from a company in hinjewadi.
But my manager offered to make my current salary same as my offer.
I said yes and Yesterday I got my salary raise letter(nearly 40% hike) effective 1st Feb.
I love Avaya.
I pity on the people who got offer and still with Avaya. They are the most idiots on this planet. Soon you will feel you should have jumped from Titanic instead enjoying dinner :)

Until then they will keep you toggling through SRC and fear of LRC
While you're celebrating your pay raise, you should also remember that if Avaya really cared about you, they would have recognized your value and given you a raise BEFORE you resigned. Giving you a pay raise to keep you only shows the low regard they have for their people.

All mgrs are themselves frightened to lose job. No one will want his/her team size to go small.

Btw no salary hike for Pune location in June. Hence no harm in getting quick hike by resigning and taking it back.
Do not reveal secrets here guys. All the people managers watch this space everyday. They will make a rule to stop negotiating with anybody and everybody. People managers will not like techies overpowering them.

A CE in my team resigned, announced blah blah that he want to work on new technologies hence going to BJ in bangalore. We spent lot of money to give him farewell lunch.
But he worked some deal with RA and raised his salary to his BJ offer.
He is staying now here.
I wonder if he ever had any offer or was just bluffing to get quick hike.
Now what about working on new technologies blah blah.... Lolwa.
