Thread regarding Intel Corp. layoffs

Stock market rallying again.. The Trump rally is for real.

Like I said folks don't get mad liberals and stop crying from the results, profit from it.

Inflation means wages are going to get slaughtered relatively speaking... along with fixed income and bonds. That's why if you track the money movement of the top wealthy in this country, all the real data is showing a huge influx from fixed income, bonds, and cash into equity, particularly passive indexes.

Here's to a great 4 years of asset inflation. It's going to be great. Even better than Reagan and Clinton years.

Thank you GOP and Trump.

Inflation is great if you have a fixed rate mortgage at a ridiculously low 3% which you didn't really need to take out, but you did anyway because you felt in the future you could arbitrage your several hundred thousand of your own money on an investment that is great than 3%. Because for the next 30 years the banks basically paid you to borrow their money to invest. And since that low rate is fixed, that value you own to the bank is depreciating each year in terms of real purchasing power when we have inflation.

On the other hand, if you are one of those people knee deep in credit card debt with a variable rate or took out a adjustable arm loan or HELOC with no plans or ability to pay it back in the near term and cannot refinance it to a fixed rate loan, you are really really screwed once inflation kicks in and rates rise.

In life there are only so many opportunities the average person can make a huge difference inherit finance well being and timing is everything.

The late 90ies was one time in the stock market.

2009-2011 was one time in the real estate market when the bottom fell out and people were losing left and right to short sales and foreclosure.

This period is going to be the next opportunity back....

Why are some of you so damn pessimistic?

Oh here my take on AMD. Iear Ings are next week. I sold 1/2 last week and am going to wait until after earnings. Their earnings won't be that great most likely because none of their new product line is out on the market. Everything is scheduled for Q1. So I think this is classic buy on rumor sell on real news. AMDs Q1 will probably be good if they can actually release Ryzen and Vega on time. But Q4 is still using old products so I doubt their Q4 will look that great.

Statiscally speaking, markets rarely rally in February. The fact that this year says a lot about the direction. The markets are headed. If Jan and Feb ends up, Marrch to June should be even better.

And Trump's finance leaders already came out saying "the US dollar is too strong"... This isn't rocket science. We know the direction of the dollar, since a weak USD will favor US exports and push up corporate earnings... Inflation is the only game.
