If only Sam Gilliland was still CEO, Sabre would still be a great company.

What a bunch of whiners! If you got laid off you probably deserved it. Time to trim the fat.
Somehow Sabre is able to do soft layoffs so it doesn't hit the media. True story when I was laid off in 2014 a tweet was posted regarding the Sabre layoff and I was advised to remove it or my severance could be impacted. Careful with social media. And some of the folks they kept vs myself was difficult to understand.
Woof woof mother (##)( IP traced.
Hopefully some of the useless VP's and their puppy dog directors in delivery will get the boot....one can only dream.
Trump doesn't give a crap..haha seriously?
This started little by little six months ago..especially after mid year reviews people doing well all of a sudden were on PIP then gone, most of who were involved in COPA were gone by September. I guess they couldn't PIP enough people out so now it's redundancy. I'm sure yearly reviews there will be another round of PIP "terminations" I'm glad I turned in my resignation at the end of the year and I start a new job first of next month...
what is the total count of layoffs? time to jump from the sinking ship?
Its happening everywhere, In BLR they started layoff today.
I too was layed off today. Sad day... Let India have our jobs and leave us here high and dry. So much for keeping jobs in America :( Trump needs to be advised of this!!!
It s---s, but its corporate America. Executives don't get that layoffs are not necessary - there are other options. They don't get that we are people, not just corporate assets to be discarded at their whim. So our new CEO starts by chucking our CIO, then thinning the herd. Great start, Sean. I bet the next thing to go will be VCP.
I got layoff today. My manager asked me to join her in a room. Immediately I knew this was not normal. She used the script to read out to me. 2 weeks. Was told to take rest of day and Tuesday off. Show up on Wed or work from home.
Should Trump about this??? so we can make sure the government taxes the crap out of Sabre...
No WARN letter that is required by law. People did not get a 60 days notice required by WARN act. How is this legal?
My manager is still there and not impacted.
Offices in Krakow, Montevideo and DFW are experiencing layoffs. Speculation is that there will be a re-distribution of the workforce to Sabre's Bangalore office, a low wage center. It has been very hush-hush and no one knows much of anything. This is following a new CEO starting January 1 2017 whom immediately demoted the CIO to an "advisor" and put an interim regime in charge of technology.
Can someone summarize what's happening - a journalist here
For the last poster, when I was laid off at my last job I was a manager and my directs had to hear it from their director too that I and most of them were going. Bad news. Corporate America.
My meeting was with my director only. My manager wasn't in the office, nor has she reached out to me to offer apologies/condolences.
Krk already hit
Nasty practice
Communication is happening strictly 1-1 with the affected employee. Team meetings are being held to communicate to teams
Layoff to 6% employees globally
Very sneaky. Regime change with no communication. See how he dodged the question on VCP?
