Thread regarding Sears layoffs

Vendors who's stopped shipping

I would love to see a list of all vendors who stopped shipping product to Sears/Kmart. We know about Jaxx and Purina, and others have been hinted at. Who are they?

What you have now is all the leftovers from whatever is left in the warehouses. This is old stock from last season, things that really don't sell well and any merch from vendors who are still shipping. Pretty soon you will have DC's closing, trucks getting smaller until all the shelves are bare. We now have to take whatever boxes of cereal we have and use it to fill empty spaces. Imagine a cereal aisle that has 20 boxes of corn flakes going down the shelf

I have somethings that are so overstocked that nice displays were set up to try to move it and just a few feet away spaces that have been empty for weeks. Some things I get in and are gone that same day but they are the little things that people needing tools nees all the time and cost them under $10 not the huge sets that cost $50 - $100. If someone cannot get what they need on a regular basis they are going to stop looking at sears.

Scan something and when it says something about "vendor supply issues", which is half the store, you will know they have stopped shipping or are waiting to get paid.

Your store is closing you will get everything that is not selling from other stores, any overstock from the warehouse and anything else they can sell to make a quick buck. Get ready for the deluge of useless, outdated, worn out junk you will receive. When my store closed we got expired food we could not sell, jewlry, clothes (out of season), shoes (out of season) any and everything you can imagine.

Kaz (Pur water filters)

If Purina has stopped shipping, I wonder why my closing Kmart location keeps receiving pallets and shippers to flood our pet aisle with dry dog food. It's not selling, but it makes the shelves look full since so much of our pet aisle has been sold out.

From what I can tell: Purina, Coleman, Intex, Jaxx, Hamilton Beach, Dyson, most of the sporting goods, Huffy, Mongoose, Weider, and lots of other smaller vendors. Just scan an item and if it says something about inventory issues due to vendor supply then you know they have stopped or are not being paid. Our pantry is bare with one box per space. Other shelves are bare and we are just putting whatever we have in the spot. We have coffee makers in the auto section and comforters at the end of the pantry.

We sold alot of New Balance and customers kept asking for them. I told them it wasn't Sears' choice and that New Balance did not want to renew a contract with Sears.

Levi's stopped shipping??? We are up to our armpits in Levi jeans, and they keep coming. Last truck we received over 200 pairs. We have about 400 in the stockroom. The 25-foot wall with the Levis is filled to the max. We don't need another pair.

They aren't selling. In fact, they are trickling out of the door without being paid for, and yes, they are ink tagged. We just don't have LP.

If Sears wants to save money, stop sending trucks every week to every store. Some stores like my own have nowhere near the volume that necessitates a truck every week. But, whatever. Keep dumping piles of the SAME stuff that isn't selling into the stores.

Some lessons are never learned.
