Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

So...today's the big day!

So, today is the day we file for bankruptcy protection. We all so it coming, let's not kid ourselves... we all knew and sensed in the past 2-3 years that it ain't working. It was inevitable. We had to go this route, and we eventually did.

I am not happy about this happening. But you know what?! I am not particularly not that unhappy too. Chapter 11 was probably going to be the only way we would get rid of this this inept EC. 8 years of screw ups, and he is still around. Doesn't he have shame? Doesn't he lose sleep because of how he has overseen the utter failure of this business? Isn't his manlihood ever touched by how he failed at nearly every hire, every restructure, acquisition, strategic decision? When is his queue to go? Didn't he ever feel that he is the single biggest reason for all the failures at this company?

It's going to be a long, disgusting, and turbulent 2-4 quarters. Lots of people will lose there livelihoods and jobs, lots of families traumatized. And tons of customers will jump ship. Never the less, I have decided to stay only if he f---ing leaves. If he sticks around, there's no hope. He HAS to go. Today.

It's not fear that keeps people from responding. You can and probably need to vent. The fact is,

he is doing as well as anyone could while trying to address major industry changes while paying $400 million a year in debt service that is a good portion of the resources that could be helpful but is unavailable to help address those changes.
