Thread regarding Avaya layoffs

Please respect Avaya. It provided you livelihood for so many years.

Today I lost one of the sales deal because of ugly comments on this website. For sure customer went through postings on this website and got doubtful about future of Avaya. Though I tried to convince but it seems I failed. Gentle request to everyone. Please be careful before posting messages here to spread rumors.

You lost a deal as the phone is dead, and everyones buying Cisco for networking. You lost the deal because you tried to sell ice to an eskimo. You did not lose the deal with the words written on this board.

I lost sales everyday because of the reality! This board brings out some of the truth, and if it's only 10% correct then you have another happy customer who did not waste money on another phone upgrade

Cisco's layoff page has just the same amount of sh-- flying around. Dont see them complaining about losing business.

Stop writing posts here so that you can save face and have a me-too excuse about losing a customer.

Yeah, that makes a lot of sense, the potential customer would have no idea that Avaya is on the brink of bankruptcy, that the Wall Street Journal published an article about it, etc. And then lucky for them that they just happened to find this site and found out that the employees don't think the CEO did a good job!

It must be very difficult to sell any Avaya gear in this state. There's no way I would recommend anyone buy from them until they have their future sorted out.

what absolute horse plop, if a customer walked because of comments on an anonymous boards website then they were simply looking for an excuse you clown. this is why Avaya is screwed, because our sales people have very little fight to keep the customer.
