I have been hearing rumors of more store restructuring on or around February 1st such as cutting back on techs and tech supervisors, does anyone have any inside info about these rumors?

Cut cut cut....then you are left with what? Stress for anyone left. Sure that makes sense. The walls are crumbling down.
How about they eliminate TECH entirely, expand the categories that are missing in the store, and just sell computers on line. It is a terminal department as structured, the space could be better utilized for other products or lets say an outside employed geek squad that is self employed. Would be smarter to pair with local computer stores and lease the space than do what we are doing!
I REALLY hope the rumor about RVP and DM cuts is true. They are the ones that are need to be cut, not more store staff, though I am sure there will be payroll cuts. I did hear that tech sups were being cut at some level and Staples was trying to step away from in store tech services,
Honestly there's too many rumors, i've heard starting the new fiscal year that they are playing to get rid of 60% of the text supervisors. It would be all stores that are making 4 million or less. Then I heard all sales managers are going away. But that they would keep a tech supervisor and have part-time supervisor to help close the store. I think there's a better chance of them doing that and just get rid of sales managers. But who knows...I also heard RVP's would be cut along with some DM's and that DM's would pick up an additional 7-12 stores to be responsible for.
