Yes, all people of RSA, a Dell EMC company situated at Mission College Santa Clara and San Francisco offices were laid off.

Santa Clara sites mentioned are moving to a new consolidated campus. No one is being let go relative to this move.

Santa Clara isn't closing down - just moving to the new Dell campus. This was announced in November. The leases were up on some of the buildings anyway, and it's been known for over a year that those particular buildings were going to close.

An entire RSA PM and engineering team out of the Santa Clara offices. ~20 people in one go.

Right now the focus appears to be on Hopkinton...most of us here are internal and will continue to report as much information as we discover it.

Currently approaching the 100 mark at Hopkinton as of 4:28pmEST. Given its near end of day they will pause util tomorrow, but we will release more information as it becomes available to us.

Here is the other part of that e-mail...

As part of this effort, the Global Facilities team collaborated with business units based in Silicon Valley to develop a plan to consolidate our lab spaces and broader real estate footprint into a vibrant campus on Great America Parkway. This campus, which will accommodate team members from both heritage companies, is located in the space currently known as the Dell Silicon Valley Design Center (SVDC). The Dell SVDC currently consists of three buildings:

• Building 1: 5480 Great America Parkway

• Building 2: 5450 Great America Parkway

• Building 4: 5455 Great America Parkway

@LilMwBE-rey,

These buildings you listed don't just have cubicles and workspaces. They also have labs. How can you shut down all the buildings when you have labs with all the required machines in them? Is Dell going to move all the equipment from the Santa Clara labs to RTP?

My entire team was let go from the Director level and below. 23 Folks in all. Other teams were allowed to work remote. Got an e-mail from facilities before we left:

This campus will be equipped with state-of-the-art flexible workspaces that enable us to utilize our combined facilities more efficiently. As a result, we will be closing the remaining five buildings of the heritage-EMC campus over a period spanning the next several months:

• 2811 Mission College Boulevard

• 2831 Mission College Boulevard

• 2841 Mission College Boulevard

• 2421 Mission College Boulevard

• 2441 Mission College Boulevard

This transition may affect where and how many of you work. Depending on your business unit, you may be relocating from your current workspace to either a remote working solution, a mobile working solution, or a new space in one of the Great America Parkway buildings.

All - I'm talkign right now with people in SantaClara - the entire site is NOT being shut down. Dunno where that rumor started, but it is not true. There have been no requests to work from home or be let go.

Work remote is an option? I thought all west coast emc sites are shut down?

We lost one person today in Santa Clara from Dell, but it looks like the EMC folks in Santa Clara are either being forced to work remote or let go. Can smell a lot of blood on Mission College campus
