Oh I agree, moving out of state will help and I am trying to keep the faith, and yes I had 2 months to get things started before June 24. I will probably try another month and if nothing, like I am expecting, I will join an apprentice program, probably electrician or another trade. They seem to be in high demand..at least until the next housing crash..sigh..

Sounds like you need to be one of those "out of state high-tech workers". That means you need to be willing to move where the jobs are. Sometimes it's easier to throw in the towel than to not face reality.

Here's something else.... one of the guys on CNBC was making a comment about someone's comment that jobs are going away. He said his mother used to work as a telephone operator. When she lost her job because they were no longer needed, she went back to school to learn a new trade. Instead of being upset about being unemployed and unable to find a job, she took the bull by the horn and did something about it.

Keep in mind the world is changing and people need to change with it or they are doomed (a nicer way of saying you're fvcked).

VSP in June, in Oregon, Engineer. Can't find ANYTHING. Every employer in Oregon has been given the do not hire from Intel memo. And reality is that every employer in Oregon has literally thousands of H1B and out of state high-tech workers to choose from. My friend just said they hired an electrical engineer at his company from Denmark. Yes, even across the world is everyone applying here in Oregon. It is sicking.
