Thread regarding ConAgra Foods Inc. layoffs

Horrible place and company to work for.

People getting hurt due to job combining and nobody cares. Being discriminated against when you call out mgmt. on company violations and now harassment when they get heat from corporate. A layoff would be a gift at this point. Nobody believes in the company anymore where we are.

Leaving ConAgra was a pleasure. My new position is secure with no corporate "zombies". You will see the light. As you are terminated for profits sake. Life is good outside of that place. 1,200 people..........lol. You are nothing more that a campaign add now. Sean moved home, like he's done with so many other companies and the only reason you are still there is because it was too expensive to move the pilot plant. Where would they put it in that trendy building in Chicago. (Which is quickly becoming the new Detroit from what I've heard financially.) Stay and go down with your sinking ship and defend a company will not defend you when your time comes.

The same sort of stuff happened when Rhode was CEO. Cut to the bone and it was a mess. Our 8 year veteran has no idea what hell everyone went through. He or she will find out find out for themselves. As the doorknob hits them on the a-- on the way out the door.

And why are Sales down 11.5%?? They have turned that over to Brokers? That has never worked before, Never. And the worst, lowest rated and cheapest group out there. Yeah, that is going to work.

Our 8 year veteran does not know what happened before he arrive. The Peter Pan fiasco. The exact same type of cuts and stupidity. except it was only a 25 % cut. My friends in the Food safety group tell me with laid off and retirees it now exceeds over 40%. You really think a disaster is not in the making? See the light. You are in for trouble.

12 million in fines and over 500 seeking damages for getting sick with the peanut butter disaster. Could be a billion in settlement. I see the LIGHT I do !

Seriously? The company is doing better than it has in years. Like every other company, they had to downsize as we had gotten too fat as an organization. It's easy to vilify the senior executives, but we would have been in worse shape that Cabellas if we kept on the same path. If you don't like working at the company, then leave. You are doing no one any favors. Our local paper has made everyone think that we moved out of the city, which clearly is a lie and misleading. We have over 1,200 people in the area and that's more than anywhere else. I've been here for over 8 years and frankly, I finally see the light. Either take off your blinders or leave the company. It's as simple as that.

The next massive food safety recall is just around the corner. A friend told me they laid off half of the food safety group and all the internal company auditors left for better places to work. The last time there were massive layoffs like this resulted in the Peter Pan Salmonella disaster. Good luck people.
