Thread regarding ConAgra Foods Inc. layoffs

Move to Chicago

Ever wonder what the real reason for the move to Chicago?

In Omaha, with its smaller corporate base the CEO could sneeze and it would make front page news.

In Chicago, with its large corporate base and a very corrupt city and state, ConAgra can do any number of sneaking, underhanded business moves and they would not even make business section of the Tribune.

Like forcing the employees to dump ConAgra stock so that management can buy them up cheap.

Illegal? Perhaps not.

But so much for "Integrity in all we do".

It is all smoke and mirrors.

So how is that "encouraged to buy stock" working for you?

I note everyone was forced to sell their stock back to Sean.... Oops. I meant ConAgra.

Some people. Self centered till the pass out of existence. You would be singing a different tune if you were one of those people shown the door and being called "waste" as they were. Like 2,000 man........including the plants maybe, almost. Be proud (be a blind fool) and sing thier glories as you sit on the pyre. (Saying your porud isn't going to get you a raise, btw.)

Why would anybody or company pay full price for any brand or division of conagra at this point when its known how poorly it is managed and a long wait would produce another fire sale like Ralcorp. The cancer of conagra continues with Sean unfortunately.

My take is that he needs a totally corrupt city and state government To carry out his plans. Remember that 2 local member of the board quit over his plans. They are prevented from speaking out due to confidential agreements.

I definitely believe CAG employees are being lied to but that's always been the case - even under Gary. IT can tell you Gerritt's no honest innocent. That said, the reason Sean moved the company is because it broke his childrens' heart to move from New Jersey (Campbells Co., I think) to Illinois. He promised them no more moves and at least he keeps his word to someone.

Hey Troll. When they lay you off you can come back and tell us how stupid you feel for believing Sean's lies for so long.

Yeah. Probably the same person who posted before. A troll from Seanagra. We are being watched. Like I am worried.

Then please explain why people are being told to move their monies out of ConAgra stock to other options by the end of March. Current employees not laid off people. Then look at Sean's record. Of selling companies off. Or how he lied straight face to the press only to have the move to Chicago announced the next morning. You really think they are going tell you what they are up to? Of course they want to have you support the company just before they stab you in the back. And why are you, a loyal employee, keeping an eye on this at layoff site? Worried and trying to convince yourself you are going to be okay? . Or are you a company troll? You are being had. You just have not figured out yet.

Please tell me you're joking. I have been encouraged to support the company and not sell stock. Your theory is the silliest thing I've ever heard. I am proud to be part of the new Conagra Brands and fully believe in the company's future. We are not going to get taken out like the others. Look around you. There are like 2,000 people who work for Conagra in the area. The company still is a major employer and all you guys can do is complain. Give it up.
