What people do not understand is that in these companies we work for its not about race anymore, they do not care whose head is cut off whose family is left behind its about profit and greed. The USA is an a severe recession and its going to go like this boom to bust, in 2017 many people will lose top paying jobs, careers they have been in over 15 years not to mention homes, cars etc. The dollar is meaningless now top paying jobs are going to unskilled workers, more companies are using contractors. UPS has been around years, but like many other companies they have their issues. Outside of corporate, supervisors have the highest turnover they normally last no more than 8 months before management gets rid of them, "YOUR FIRED" Young kids come in showing off what they can do to be awarded, s---ing and blowing a-- and they do get promoted get an apartment, sometimes a new car buy a house and then all of a sudden they get rid of them. Management sets you up to fail, and in the previous comment they are so right, its sink or swim don't ask for a life jacket here. I work for UPS in North Texas and the best thing to do is take a seat get into a comfortable position that you can handle, do your job go home, people get caught up into gossip, rumors, false allegations of employees, but listen to me UPS Corporate to this day sends people in their hubs to work undercover it may appear this person is a screw up, but they have people in place and report back with information to terminate managers, and employees for internal theft and EEOC violations so be very aware of joining in on gossip and rumors. In 2014 during peak, an employee kept watching an employee she felt that this one employee was stealing, turns out the person that was watching and reporting this one employee was doing the stealing, UPS does not care about your allegiance. Stealing from UPS you will get caught and you will get a felony on your record.

UPS is not going anywhere, but you will, they prey on new employees and if you have under a year its a little while before you start getting pushed around and screwed. i work out of san antonio and its the same they go into management or supervisor to make a better change and the the only thing that happens is they exchange you out the door for fresh new meat. Management blows your head up thinking your the best and bam the very person that trained you, throws you under the bus to get rid of you.
